My legs feel a bit sore but it was a good session. I managed to keep my form. Breathing was good and my heart is getting stronger.

I realized that in the past I was doing too much too soon. That's why I cannot keep up with my regimentation.

The idea here is to go by the inches. Not the whole 9 yards as I usually did. So these next 2 weeks are to prepare for the 11 km Hill Walk on the 4th of September.

Most importantly I need to continuously strengthen my heart.

You cannot hoodwink running. Either you spend time training or you won't be able to go the distance.

The idea here is to have the right training to optimize the result. For that, I follow the F.I.R.S.T. (Furman Institute of Running and Scientific Training) recommendation. That is to run 3 times a week; combining interval, tempo, and long runs. 

In my case, the long run is also my hill run. I must make friends with the hill. Lesson from McFarland.

Today I want to spend time reading.  I realize that my reading list keeps on growing but I hardly scratch the surface.  Certainly, the knowledge doesn't transfer to me like magic.
